Summary
Q’um
 Q’um Xiiem describes Indigenous storywork as a traditional pedagogy used across Turtle Island. She outlines the importance of understanding the cultural protocol around stories in order to use them appropriately and effectively and shares a personal account of her work with a group of Elders and how to engage with them appropriately. Q’um Q’um Xiiem describes the role of oral literacy in learning and retaining stories and histories and later, students’ accounts on the impact of experiencing Indigenous storywork.
